Abstract：Objective:To report our initial experiences with laparoscopic partial cystectomy (LPC) for inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor (IMT) of bladder. Methods:LPC for bladder IMT was carried out, and the related literatures about the pathological features of bladder IMT were retrospectively reviewed. Results:The most common symptom of IMT is painless gross hematuia. The treatments of IMT usually include TUR, partial cystectomy and radiotherapy. The diagnosis of IMT is identified by pathological examination. Histologically, the IMT cells were spindle in shape, and positive for SMA, Vimentin and ALK. PC was performed on our research case. Conclusions:IMT is a rare neoplasm with malignant potential. Laparoscopic partial cystectomy in carefully selected patients with IMT of bladder is feasible and safe.
