Abstract:Transurethral laser surgery for prostate is a recently recognized and widely used surgical method. Compared with traditional open prostate surgery or transurethral resection of the prostate, the surgical complications of transurethral laser surgery for prostate are significantly reduced and the safety is increased. However, due to the different luminous patterns and energy conversion effects of different wavelengths of laser and the different depth of tissue penetration, there are also differences in surgical methods and postoperative complications. Common complications include urinary incontinence, hemorrhage, urinary tract infection, etc. This article reviews the complications related to different types of prostate laser surgery.
