Abstract：Objective: To review the diagnosis and treatment of epithelioid angiomyolipoma (EAML) of the kidney. Methods: Eight cases of EAML of the kidney were analyzed in the aspects of imaging and pathologic characteristics from September 2006 to April 2014. There were 4 males and 4 females with average age of 50.25 years. Six patients were diagnosed as having renal cell carcinoma, and 2 having EAML. Results: Eight operations were performed successfully. The post-operative histological diagnosis showed that all cases suffered from EAML. Conclusions: The EAML is a rare malignant-patented AML. The immunohistochemical staining could be helpful for diagnosis and differential diagnosis of EAML
