Abstract:Objective:To assess the efficacy of transurethral resection of bladder neck to treat 21 female patients with bladder neck obstruction. Methods:Twenty-one females with bladder obstruction underwent transurethral resection of bladder neck. Mean age was (49±11) years, disease course was 5 months-3 years, urine flow rate was 3.5-10.7 mL/s, and mean follow-up time was over 6-10 months. Results:The voiding symptom score, maximum urinary flow rate and residual urine volume were all significantly improved after operation. No urinary incontinence and urine leakage occurred. Conclusions:Transurethral resection of bladder neck is a good choice in female patients with bladder neck obstruction and has less complications.
