Abstract:As progression ofthe laparoscopy technique, nephron sparing surgery has become "gold standard" treatment for small renal tumors, for nephron sparing surgery has equivalent oncologic efficacy and improved renal function outcomes compared with complete nephrectomy. Accompany with the improvement of surgery techniques, the indications for NSS has been expanded as well, this article is focused on the expanded indications and current technology of NSS.
