Abstract:Objective: To summarize the experience of robotic radical nephrectomy (RRN) in the treatment of T2 renal cell carcinoma. Methods: A retrospective analysis was performed, the clinical data of 26 patients with T2 renal cell carcinoma who underwent RRN were collected from March 2013 to May 2016. Results: All 26 cases were completed successfully, and no one was converted to open surgery. The average operative time was 177.9 min (ranged from 110-300 min) with estimated blood loss of 222.6 mL (ranged from 40-900 mL). The mean orally allowed time was 3.2 day (ranged from 1-6 day), The average post-operative drainage time 4.3 day(ranged from 1-12 day) and the mean hospital stay was 7.1 day (ranged from 3-19 day). The mean tumor size was 11.2 cm (ranged from 7.5-17.0 cm). With a short-term follow-up period (3-12 months), no local residual lesions and disease progression. Conclusions: The RRN is potentially feasible and safe for the treatment of T2 renal cell carcinoma. operational experience and the results of long-term follow-up visit will be studied to estimate the operation method. Forward randomized controlled trials will be beneficial to a wider application of the technology.
