Research progress in ultrasound-guided targeted puncture biopsy of prostate cancer

Abstract:Currently, transrectal ultrasound-guided systematic biopsy of the prostate remains the gold standard for the diagnosis of prostate cancer. Compared with systematic biopsy, targeted prostate biopsy can improve the positive rate of prostate cancer diagnosis, reduce the number of puncture stitches and reduce complications. With the development of ultrasound technology, colour Doppler ultrasound, energy Doppler ultrasound, contrast-enhanced ultrasound and ultrasound elastography have been commonly used in the diagnosis of prostate cancer, and multiparametric ultrasound is playing an increasingly important role in targeted prostate biopsy.
