Abstract:Transurethral resection of bladder tumor (TURBT) is the principle method for treating non-muscle invasive bladder cancer. Traditional TURBT has a penal of intrinsic shortcomings such as piecemeal resection, difficulty for precise pathologic staging, and oburator reflex. In recent years, with the development of modern technologies, TURBT has achieved rapid progresses in en bloc resection and morbidity reduction, as reviewed in this article.
