Abstract:Scoring systems of renal masses are quantitative criteria, proposed to describe the complexity of renal masses. They are based on radiological anatomical features, including tumor size, relationships with renal sinus or urinary collecting system and so on. Clinicians make a score after evaluating each parameter, which may help to predict the risk of complications and make a better choice. In this review, we summarize the current advances of scoring systems of renal masses with an emphasis on their potention to serve as a utilization on objective treatment decision-making and predicting of outcomes.
