Abstract:Objective:To explore the applied value of urodynamic test for prevention and treatment of upper urinary damage in patients with bladder neck contracture. Methods:Twenty-seven patients (group A) subject to urodynamic test and 44 patients (group B) not subject to urodynamic test were set up. The parameters from urodynamics, renal functional test and color ultrasonography test in group A and group B were compared and analyzed. Results:Significant difference was found in Qmax but not in age and postoperative time between two groups. The upper urinary damage rate in group A was significantly lower than in group B. Conclusions:Urodynamic test is helpful to find the upper urinary damage in patients with bladder neck contracture as soon as possible.
