Abstract：Objective： To study the possibility of removing foreign materials in the bladder through a nylon rope trapping by cystoscopy. Methods： The clinical data of 10 patients with foreign materials in the bladder receiving cystoscope operation using nylon rope trapping and forceps pulling were enrolled in the past two years. Results： In this study, long hard foreign materials in the bladder were successfully removed in all 10 cases. The average operation time was （21.6±12.0） min and the mean hospital stay was （3.40±0.97） days. No obvious hematuria was observed and all urinary catheters were removed within 24 h postoperatively. Hematuria, infection and urethral strictureafter were not found during the follow-up period of 3 months. Conclusions： Cystoscopic nylon rope trapping with forceps pulling is safe and reliable in the removal of long hard foreign materials in the bladder.
