Abstract:Objective: To investigate the influence of two kinds of lithotripsy on the stone clearance rate, perioperative clinical index and postoperative complications of patients with complicated renal calculi. Methods: A total of 120 patients with complicated renal calculi were chosen in the period from March 2014 to March 2016 in our hospital and the patients were randomly divided into 2 groups including group A (60 patients) with FURS and group B (60 patients) with PCNL. The stone clearance rate, the levels of perioperative clinical index, the levels of NGAL before and after operation and the incidence of postoperative complications of both groups were compared. Results: The stone clearance rate at first stage of group B was significantly higher than in group A (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the stone clearance rate at second stage between 2 groups (P>0.05). The operation time in group B was significantly shorter than in group A (P<0.05). The blood loss volume in operation and hospitalization time of group A was significantly less than in group B (P<0.05). The levels of NAGL in 12 h, 24 h and 48 h after operation of group A were significantly lower than in group B (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of postoperative complications between two groups (P>0.05). Conclusions: Two kinds of lithotripsy in the treatment of patients with complicated renal calculi possess well clinical effects and safety; FURS application possesses the advantages including less trauma and postoperative renal function, shorter recovery time and hospitalization time; and PCNL in the treatment of complicated renal calculi can efficiently shorten the operation time and improve the stone removal effects.
