Progress in interventional therapy and diagnosis on renal artery embolism

Abstract：Renal artery embolism (RAE) can lead to the ischemia or infarction of nephridial tissue. Kidney failure would be induced if RAE is not be diagnosed or cured in time. So RAE is essentially treated urgently as a ischemia disease. But the clinical manifestation of RAE is short of specificity, diagnostic errors and missed diagnosis exist extensively. Medical radiology is the main diagnostic evidence for the doctors. Interventional therapy is the essential method for RAE. This review summarized the progress of RAE interventional diagnosis and treatment.
