Abstract:To explore the application of endoscopic technique in clinical teaching on internships of urology. Methods: Fifty-six students of Capital Medical University were randomly divided into two groups: observation group (n=28) and control groupgroup (n=28). The students in observation group learned nephrectomy via the laparoscopic procedure, and those in control group via the traditional surgery. The teaching effects were compared between two groups. Results: The record of operation test was higher and teaching effect was better in the observation group than in the control group with the difference being statistically significant (P<0.05). The total excellent rate in the observation group reached to 85.71%, which was significantly higher than in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusions: The laparoscopic procedure is superior to the traditional surgery in clinical teaching of urology. The former can arouse students' enthusiasm, and improve academic performance.
