Retrospective analysis of 500 cases of Da Vinci robot-assisted laparoscopic urological surgeries

Abstract:Objective:To summarize the results and experience of 500 cases of urological Da Vinci robot-assisted laparoscopic surgeries from our department. Methods:From September 2014 to June 2017, 500 cases of urological robot-assisted laparoscopic surgeries were performed in our department, including 203 radical prostatectomies, 132 partial nephrectomies, 45 pyeloureteroplasties, 39 radical nephrectomies, 46 adrenalectomies and 17 radical cystectomies. Results:Except 2 cases of nephron sparing surgery (NSS) and 2 cases of giant adrenalectomy resection surgery, the remaining surgeries were successful, and all the patients were discharged with good recovery. Conclusions:Robot-assisted laparoscopic surgery can reveal a clear and well-functioning anatomy and is suitable for the vast majority of urological procedures.
