Abstract:Objective: To investigate the operative technique and clinical effects of ureterovesical reimplantation for the treatment of distal ureteral endometriosis. Methods: From April 2011 to September 2015, 13 cases of distal ureteral endometriosis with various degrees of hydronephrosis were treated with laparoscopic ureterovesical reimplantation. The ages of the patients were between 22 and 44 years old. 8 patients were diagnosed with left ureteral endometriosis, 5 ones with right ureteral endometriosis. Results: All operations were successfully performed without serious complications during perioperative period. Ureteral endometriosis was confirmed by pathology. The mean follow-up were 18.5 months(range from 4 to 53). No ureterovesical anastomotic stenosis were observed. Hydronephrosis and renal damage were not aggravated. Conclusions: Laparoscopic ureterovesical reimplantation is a safe and minimal invasive method for treatment of distal ureteral endometriosis.
