Abstract:Objective:To explore the applied value of 7-10 cm small incision in radical prostatectomy. Methods:The clinical data of 17 cases of local prostate cancer from May 2013 to Febrary 2014 were retrospectively analyzed. All 17 cases of local prostate cancer were subjected to small insicion prostatectomy. The age of 17 cases was 50-71 years old (median 64), tPSA level was 6.8-207.4 μg/L (median 21.8 μg/L), and the incisional length was 7-10 cm. Results:All operations were successfully done. The operative time was 90-180 min (median 110 min), and blood loss was 50-400 mL (median 100 mL). The resection margin in 2 cases was positive, there was one case of urethral anastomotic fistula. During a follow-up period of 3-10 months, there was no biochemical recurrence. Conclusions:The small incision radical prostatectomy has the advantages of low cost, minimal trauma, and reliable effect.
