Abstract:Objective:To summarize the complications which were caused in the operation of ureterscopy the way of prevention and therapy. Methods:Analysing 28 out of 532 cases with complications which were caused in the operation of ureterscopy since 2008. Results:Among all these complications, there were 5 cases of ureteral mucosa bleeding, 3 cases of ureteral perforation, 4 cases of ureteral stricture, 3 cases of septic shock and 7 cases of calculi residual (for calculus patients); 5 cases of bleeding were caused by expansion for ureteral stenosis; the other 1 patient with septic shock was attributed to double J tube rust stone, ureteral perforation, fracture or necrosis were not observed in this patient. Conclusions:The risk of complications of ureteroscopic surgery was closed related to the experience of doctors and the preoperative preparation. Good techniques could effectively reduce the risk of operation related complications and increase the rate of being successful.
