Abstract:Objective:To compare with retroperitoneal and transperitoneal adrenalectomy in the treatment of adrenal tumor. Methods:Retroperitoneal and transperitoneal adrenalectomy were attempted in 127 and 53 cases with adrenal tumor, respectively. The difference in operation time, blood loss, hospital stay, ratio of conversion to open surgery, complication was observed between two groups. Results:Statistic analysis showed significant differences in operation time and blood loss whereas no differences in hospital stay, ratio of conversion to open surgery and complication between two groups. Conclusions:Even though our data indicated that retroperitoneal adrenalectomy is a predominant approach in treatment of adrenal tumor, but it is still observed in the large sample.
