Abstract:Objective:To evaluate the UroVysion fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) test combined with Ureteroscopy for early screening of upper urinary tract tumors. Methods:Between January 2009 and February 2013, 56 cases of gross hematuria patients whose imaging studies and cystoscopy didn't show abnormalities underwent fluorescence in situ hybridization detection and bilateral urinary tract ureteroscopy biopsy. Results:FISH results of 56 patients, 18 cases were positive, testing positive rate was 32.1%, of which 11 cases (61%) pathological abnormal results. Ureteroscopy + biopsy results suggest that 4 cases of polyps, 12 cases of papilloma, 9 cases of transitional cell carcinoma. 4 cases of polyps were located in the Upper and lower ureteral segment. 12 cases of papilloma is located in middle and lower ureteral segment. 9 cases of transitional cell carcinoma, 6 cases of renal pelvis cancer, 3 cases of ureteral cancer. which include 2 in upper and 1 in lower. Conclusions:FISH detection combined with Ureteroscopy examination, With the advantages of less invisive and high diagnosis rate, was a reliable diagnosis method of early upper urinary tract tumor and be worth of clinical application.,worthy of clinical popularize.
