Abstract:Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of minimally invasive percutaneous nephrolithotomy(MPCNL) in the treatment of calyceal diverticula. Methods:The records of 16 symptomatic patients with caliceal diverticular which were treated with MPCNL between July 2006 and September 2011 were reviewed and analyzed.Results:16 cases were treated successfully in a single procedure and all stone were removed. 16 cases had followup for12-36 (22.6±7.1) months in whom there were no stone found in all calyceal diverticular and they are asymptomatic. Conclusions:MPCNL approach is the most effective and minimally invasive treatment for calyceal diverticular and to be worth generalizing in clinic.
