Abstract:Objective: To explore the clinical effect of modified brisson operation on children's concealed penis. Methods: 84 children with concealed penis admitted in our hospital from June 2018 to October 2019 were divided into two groups according to the random number table, 42 cases in each group. Devine operation was used in the control group and modified brisson operation was used in the observation group. The operation time, penile elongation, appearance score, complications and quality of life of the two groups were compared. Results: the length of penile elongation (2.14 ± 0.56) cm and appearance score (8.84 ± 1.12) in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P< 0.05). The incidence of complications in the observation group was 4.76%, lower than that in the control group (16.67%) (P < 0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference in the quality of life between the two groups (P > 0.05); after treatment, the quality of life score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P< 0.05). Conclusion: the improved brisson operation has a significant clinical effect in the treatment of children's concealed penis, which is convenient for the penis to return to normal shape, can effectively reduce the incidence of complications, improve the quality of life, and has a high safety.
