Abstract:In recent years, the prevalence of the metabolic syndrome (MS) and nephrolithiasis is both increasing rapidly. More studies have showed that the MS and its components are closely related to the formation, development and recurrence of nephrolithiasis. This article reviews the current situation and progress of the research on the correlation between the MS and its components and nephrolithiasis, and provides some help for the clinical treatment of nephrolithiasis in patients with MS.
