Abstract:Robot-assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy (RALP) in Europe and the United States has been widely carried out nowadays. And as domestic robot-assisted surgical operations become more widespread, the number of surgical cases of RALP is also increasing. What's more, RALP has become the preferred choice for patients with prostate cancer in some large medical centers. RALP was divided into transabdominal and retroperitoneal procedures. However, with the continuous progresses in technology and the understanding of the local anatomy, it changes. On the basis of the further development, the different types of surgical approaches were gradually reported. In this paper, a variety of the surgical approaches and development of RALP are reviewed.
