Abstract:Needle biopsy of the prostate is currently the gold standard for preoperative diagnosis of prostate cancer (PCa). The main method is ultrasound-guided PCa system. However, systemic puncture may result in underestimation of the Gleason score and missed diagnosis of small or multifocal tumor lesions, leading to misdiagnosis. With the continuous development of molecular imaging technology, targeted puncture guided by MRI and PET/CT has gradually entered clinical application, bringing unprecedented progress to the localization, diagnosis and preoperative staging of PCa. This article summarizes the progress of MRI and PET/CT-mediated targeted localization in PCa targeted biopsy.
